Taken to his heavenly home September 25, 2015 - Renton WA
His Parents, Tietertje “Patricia” and Henry Dolleman came to America from Holland in December 1919, homesteading a farm on Tiger Mountain in Issaquah WA
Growing up as the 9th of 10 children; 3 older brothers
Mike, Frank and Lee. 5 older sisters Johanna “Jo”, Eva, Kathy, Dorothy “Dort”, Henrietta “Neke” and 1 younger sister,
Lillian “Lill”. Life on farm was always an adventure, full of laughter and love, hard work of course too. His older sibling frequently call him “little Harry”, he will always be their little brother. With his sister Lill, others in school thought Harry and Lill were twins. Close in age, they were together most often growing up.
He and Lill graduated from Issaquah High School in 1954.
Harry proudly served in the United States Army Reserve.
Harry raised his 5 kids in a Godly home, he lead by example of what it meant to be a Christian man and father. Praying each night with each one of children with kiss goodnight, family bible devotions and what self-sacrifice means. Harry in his quiet, diligent way, always took care of the widows and anyone else who needed help with their homes, fixing cars or repairing houses. Countless hours were volunteered at the churches he attended, his reputation for being able to solve any building issue was called upon often. Never wanted any public acknowledgement, He enjoyed creative problem solving in a very practical way. Harry always worked hard and provided for his family. The kids will tell you how he restored many Ford Mustangs during their teenage years, self-taught he made a profit on every restored car. Teaching his kids along the way, all 5 kids had their own Ford Mustang. Later Harry helped his now grown kids re-model their own houses utilizing his honed carpenter skills, again instructing and teaching his kids in home improvement.
He and his wife Carolyn took pride in taking on the challenge of buying run-down houses and turning them into homes. Taking down a wall here, creating a room there. Harry was visionary in his work; cars, houses and at the Port of Seattle where he retired as Mill-wright.
After raising his kids, Harry met Carolyn 30-years ago at a dance sponsored by “Parents without Partner”. He knew that “she is the one” right away and few months later they were married. Their love continued to grow stronger with each passing year. Harry became a step-father to Carolyn’s then teenage son and daughter. Once again leading by his example.

Harry is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. As he came into this world, born on the family farm. He was surrounded by love. As he left this earthly home he again was surrounded by the love of family. Quietly, peacefully Harry’s chariot came forth and carried him to his enteral home.
Harry’s nephew, Pastor Eddie Burns is officiating the Memorial at Highland Community Church at noon, Friday – October 16th, 2015.
