Hazel Joy Kollman

Hazel "Joy" KOLLMAN August 26, 1929 ~ July 8, 2010 Preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Jack Kollman; sisters - Armeta and Marie. Loving Mother of Linda Stroschein; Grandmother of Terri Pennington and Rochelle Thoensen; Great- Grandmother of Christa Thoensen and Anthony Thoensen. Nieces and Nephews in Texas and New Mexico. Joy moved to Renton, Washington from Wichita Falls, Texas in 1948 with her Husband. She started her family and went to work at Sears and then hired on at The Boeing Company as a blueprint clerk, went to night school to learn shorthand so she could become a secretary which she was until her retirement about 1986. She enjoyed taking vacations with family and friends to Montana to go rock hounding for sapphires. Every month for the last 20+? years she has arranged a Lunch group with the ladies she worked with. Always enjoying the latest news and adventures that were shared. Until her recent illness she was a vibrant and strong woman, always with a beautiful smile. There will be a private family service.
