

Janet Nell Williams, better known as Nell, was born in Hammond, Louisiana on February 19th,1955, and transitioned on April 17th, 2026, at the age of 71. She moved to Seattle with her parents and sisters at the age of 11 where she attended Garfield High School.
Later she would go on to have two daughters, Kim Williams and Chynelle Neal. Not to forget our cousin Nina Williams, who she affectionately referred to as her other daughter. Nell was a loving and fiercely protective mom as well as a loving and caring daughter, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Her caring, nurturing nature and love for kids led children to naturally gravitate towards her, influencing her to work in the childcare industry for more than 30 years including babysitting many during her lifetime.
Nell enjoyed listening to her oldies, playing a friendly game of cards with friends and family, spending time with her kids and grandkids, and cooking for family. She also found joy in cleaning. If you knew her then you know she was always cleaning and kept her place very tidy. The true definition of love and light her presence, sense of humor and mild-mannered demeanor was a gift and blessing to us all. Her caring and gentle spirit will be deeply missed. Nell lived and transitioned from life on her terms.
Nell will be remembered for her infectious smile, laugh humor and loving spirit. Her courage, kind heart, and energy will be truly missed.
Nell is survived by her daughters Kim Williams and Chynelle Neal. Grandchildren Brandi Campbell and Jaden Murray aka “knucklehead.” Her last surviving sister Ferridean Williams. Nephews LaShaun Williams (Kanwannis Broome Williams), Steven Saunders, and Chris Martin along with several great nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest alongside her parents Jake and Viola Williams, her sisters Patricia Williams, Barbara Williams and Marion Faye Williams Bowie who preceded her in death. Always in our hearts may Janet Nell Williams soul rest in heaven.
