Jean Baptiste Soularie was born October 5, 1945 to the late Raymond J and Pearl E Soularie in Ritzville, Washington. In 1958 the family moved to Spokane, Washington where Jean graduated from West Valley High school. He went on to graduate from Spokane Community College with a degree in Auto Mechanics. In 1965, Jean joined the United States Navy. After discharge Jean resided in Seattle, Washington and Los Angeles, California. In 1981, Jean and his family moved to Federal Way, Washington and then Kent, Washington.
Jean had a lifelong interest in all things related to Automobiles include ownership of a Funny Car named the “Trojan Horse”. He was the owner of two businesses “Mobile Tune and Precision Driveshaft” from which he retired in 2012. Jean was a devoted husband, adored his family and loved the Lord.
Jean is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Pearl Soularie, sister Nanette Soularie and his niece Portia Case.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Soularie, brothers Russell Solari (Carol) and William Hite (Mari), sister SuZanne Case, son Nicholas Soularie (Courtney) and daughters Kathryn Soularie, Kelli Nelson (Matthew), Kristi Wittig, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Jean, his love for all and his wonderful smile.
A rosary will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (Kent, WA.) on Thursday December 15, 2022 at 10 am. A funeral mass will be held immediately following the rosary. This will be followed by internment at his final resting place at Greenwood Memorial Park (Renton, WA). A reception will follow his internment at the Memorial Park.
