

Jeanne Okubo (née Chin), age 67, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, in Gig Harbor, Washington, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength and grace throughout her illness were a testament to the tenacity and love that defined her life.
Born May 24, 1958, in Yakima, WA and graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1976, Jeanne went on to earn a degree from University of Washington in Business Administration and where she became a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.
Professionally, Jeanne was a Senior Underwriter— holding roles at Seafirst Bank, Chase Private Banking and Golf Savings before joining Legacy Group Lending from 2007 to 2013, and then at Evergreen Home Loans from 2013 to the present. Her diligence, expertise, hard work and integrity earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband Robin of 43 years; her beloved son James; and their dog, Bandit. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. Whether preparing a home-cooked meal or simply enjoying quiet time together, Jeanne’s warmth and care created lasting memories for those she held dear.
Jeanne’s caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. She is also survived by her siblings: Julie Chin, Maylee Witham (Jeff), Anita Agee (William), Mayling Chin, and Edward Chin; as well as her cherished nieces and nephews: Nicholas Witham, Grant Witham, Liam Agee, Lauren Agee, Jarrett Long, Jackson Long, and Cassie Chin.
Jeanne was known for always putting others before herself. She approached life with compassion and integrity—qualities that made her a cherished wife, mother, sister, coworker, and friend. Her kindness touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Outside of her professional life, Jeanne found joy in simple pleasures. She loved reading books that transported her to new worlds and found fulfillment in cooking and baking for family gatherings. Time spent with loved ones brought her the greatest happiness; she treasured every shared laugh and heartfelt conversation.
Jeanne’s legacy is one of love, perseverance, and generosity. She faced each challenge with courage and never wavered in her commitment to those she loved. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A Funeral Service will be held on August 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Memorial Park and Funeral Home 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, WA.
