Jerry was born to Oscar Puetz and Hazel Moore Puetz in Seattle, Washington. He attended Broadview Elementary, Wilson Junior High and Lincoln High School.
When Jerry was young, around age 5, he developed tuberculosis of the spine. He spent a year in a body cast in the hospital. He was always pleasant and helpful growing up. He has his own paper route, worked as a bag boy, and went on to roofing work. He became vice president of Queen City Sheet Metal and Roofing & then started his own business, RSI Roofing. Jerry married three times and his wives were Kathryn, Marilee and Gloria. He loved to cook and was well known for his delicious meals. He was also a skilled carpenter and always had a project or remodel going on.
Jerry enjoyed golfing and took several trips with his brothers over the years. He also enjoyed watching sports, boating, fishing, gaming, and horseracing. He even owned a racehorse at one time. Jerry did the crossword puzzle daily. Jerry suffered illnesses, mostly attributed to his lifelong smoking. Toward the end of his life he kicked the habit and his medical conditions began to greatly improve. In sickness and in health, Jerry brought people together and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his children: Chris Puetz, Matt Puetz, Katrina Puetz and Jennifer Heng and his grandchildren: Hanna Puetz, Ava, and twins Anderson and Alivia Heng. Jerry is also survived by his siblings, Bill, Ted, Rikki, Dan and Dee Bishop and by his stepmother, Diane Puetz, many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and his companion, Donna Wade.
Jerry was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, and Wife, Gloria Wilson/Puetz.
Services and burial were at Acacia Memorial Park in Bothell, WA on Monday June 2nd, 2014.
