Mary, my sister left Wichita (our hometown) sometime early 1960. I left Wichita in Sept. 1961 to attend Bible College in Houston, Texas. Mary and Joe were married in April, 1961 in the Seattle area. I married Peggy in August, 1963. Neither Mary or myself ever attended each others wedding. It was not until the late summer of 1967 when Peggy and I drove to Seattle area from Houston, TX to meet Mary and Joe along with two other sisters of mine living in the same area. It was the first time that Peggy had met my three sisters (Mary, Barbara, and Edith). Joe was a friendly outgoing, likeable "Joe". Through the years, due to my travels to Washington State or family reunions, every time I met Joe, he was always the same, easy going, likeable, laughable Joe. He was the rock in the marriage of Mary and Joe. My favorite memory of Joe was at a family reunion in Colorado. We (the family) had scheduled a float trip on some river. Joe and I were on the riverside awaiting our time to go on a float trip. We had already had on our life vest and were waiting to our time in the rafts. We decided to face off against each other and jump and give each other a" chest bump" several times like a couple of bantam roosters. We all had a hearty laugh. That was a fun time for us both, and one I will never forget. The last time I saw Joe alive was in August 2019. He was already battling cancer but he faced it courageously to the very end. May he rest in Peace. Mary I know you will miss him, but rest assured he was love by all of your siblings. Tim Mosteller
