Kathleen Michal Frampton, 78, passed away in Auburn, Washington on May 30th, 2021 after a brief battle with liver cancer. Mickey, as she liked to be called was born in Kelso, Washington on October 17th, 1942. Her parents, Paul Edwin Jackson and Evelyn Mae Jackson, moved their family to Terrace Heights (Yakima) where Mickey spent her childhood. She loved growing up in Terrace Heights where she and her 3 sisters would ice skate on the canal in the winter. Mickey was a proud Red Devil from East Valley High school.
Mickey met the love of her life and married Dad on March 31st, 1962. They moved around to many towns (Rufus, Snoqualmie, Puyallup, Dayton, Moxee) during their younger days but settled in Yakima and raised their 4 children. Mickey was a Campfire-bluebird leader, and also a softball coach for the CYO league in Yakima. They both enjoyed watching all 4 kids play sports. Many cold autumn nights were spent under the lights to watch their sons play football and hot summer nights watching baseball.
Mickey was a Candy striper at St. Elizabeth Hospital when she was younger and fulfilled a lifelong dream and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in the early ’80s. She spent most of her career caring for the elderly in many different assisted living homes around Yakima. Dad and mom changed careers to be together and started managing apartment complexes around Washington ending up in Sequim, WA. In January of 2000, she lost her love and never was the same again, except for profoundly loving her 12 grandchildren. Mickey also loved attending their sporting and musical events, too. You could never say a bad word about any of them. She loved them most wholeheartedly.
She is survived by her children, Patty (Matt) Osborn Camino Island, WA, Charles (Pattie) Frampton Auburn WA, Michele (Kenny) Watkins Yakima WA, David (Diana) Frampton Selah WA. 12 beautiful grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, her brother Jim (Marion) Jackson and many more wonderful family members.
Mickey was preceded in death by both parents Paul and Evelyn Jackson, her husband, Milton Frampton, her sisters, Pat Ruegsegger, Susan Sixkiller, Kaye Saul, brothers-in-law, Harold Ruegsegger and Lonnie Frampton.
A private memorial will be held on July 23 2021 at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. She and dad will finally be together again.
