Larry Crook passed on Palm Sunday, March 28th, just weeks after celebrating his 83rd birthday. He went peacefully with his daughter at his side. Larry was born in Renton in 1938, to Lauretta and Forrest Crook. Forrest passed prior to Larry’s birth. Lauretta married Jim Natucci two years later and raised Larry to be the man he was. Larry lived his entire life in Renton, where he was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. In high school he worked at the Lake Wilderness Resort doing jobs for his Uncle. He also worked for his Dad at the Melrose Tavern. After graduation from Renton High, he went to WWU and left to serve in the United States Marine Corp. Upon his return Married his first wife, Chris and had two children Lori & Brett. After their divorce, Larry married Deanne (Former Spouse). He spent several years working in food & beverage sales. He started a second career and was a founding member of Renton Realty. In 1990, he began his relationship with Jeannie, they were married on Valentine’s Day. Between their 4 children, they were blessed with 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. During their life together they loved to go dancing, play golf, and travel in their RV. He was a devoted son who made a point to go visit his mother daily. He was a member the Renton Eagles, Coquille Elks, and the local Renton VFW Post #1263. He was also very active in the Renton 21 Club. He enjoyed having everyone over for pool parties and hosting big family gatherings. He loved his family, good food, and good friends. The visitation will start at noon with by chapel service at 1:00, on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Greenwood Memorial Park, Renton; followed by a graveside service and concluding with a reception at the Renton VFW.
