Sadly, we have lost the patriarch of our family. Our beloved father, Laurence W. Weikum, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4th, at the age of 94. Ninety-four years is such a long life—yet today, it feels much too soon.
Laurence was a proud Army veteran and retired from Boeing after thirty years of dedicated service. A lifelong patron of Boeing Surplus, he had an unending quest for building materials and a remarkable eye for finding good deals to add to his many treasures.
He is survived by his children Charlene Kaperick (Greg), Wayne Weikum (Anna), Marlene Lynn Weikum, and Richard Weikum (Diane); grandchildren Ashley Cook (Garrett), Lisa Hill (David, children Brandon, McKensie, and Taylor), and Kyle Garron (Karlie, daughter Peyton); his sister Donna Goodyear; great-nephews Robert Rogers (Becky); nephews Don Winslow and Adam Winslow (Jennifer).
Those who knew Laurence will remember his tireless work ethic, many stories, and deep devotion to his family. He leaves behind many who loved him dearly. Laurence is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Estella, who passed away thirty years ago. May they both rest together in everlasting love.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
