With deep sorrow and profound gratitude for a life devoted to faith, family, and love, we announce the peaceful passing of Magdalena Edica Tumaneng on July 15, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born on April 17, 1938, Magdalena lived a life defined not by worldly accomplishments, but by the immeasurable impact she had on those blessed to know and love her. She was the heart of her family—a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother, a cherished grandmother, a proud great-grandmother, and a steadfast friend. She possessed a quiet strength, remarkable resilience, unwavering patience, and a selflessness that shaped generations.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Severo Sambo Tumaneng (1935–2014), with whom she shared a lifetime of love, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to their family.

Together they raised five children, each of whom carries forward the values she lived every day:

Angelita Tumaneng Alipio (Claro Alipio Jr.),

Shirley Tumaneng Cromwell (Cecil Cromwell Jr.),

Eddie Tumaneng (Allie),

Verlyn Tumaneng Babila (John Babila), and

Joanne Tumaneng Messenger (Troy Messenger).

She leaves behind twelve beloved grandchildren:

Naimi, Ciara, Farah, Camille, Luth, Aris, Kiana, Edward, Andrew, Nathan, Naomi, and Bobby.

She was also blessed with five precious great-grandchildren:

Aaliyah, Maryam, Aisha, Ali, and Aidan, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her later years.

To her family, Magdalena was the very definition of unconditional love. She worked tirelessly, often sacrificing her own comfort so her children would have opportunities she herself never knew. She gave without expecting anything in return, loved without conditions, forgave without hesitation, and remained a constant source of strength through every season of life.

Her greatest achievement was not measured in titles or possessions, but in the family she nurtured, the values she instilled, and the lives she touched. She taught us that dignity is found in honest work, strength is revealed through perseverance, and love is best expressed through quiet acts of service. Her gentle wisdom, warm smile, generous heart, and steadfast faith will remain forever etched in our hearts.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her legacy lives on in every lesson she taught, every sacrifice she made, every prayer she whispered for her family, and in the countless memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

Today, we mourn the loss of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, but we also celebrate a life lived with purpose, grace, humility, and extraordinary love.

She leaves this world richer because she was in it, and our family stronger because she was ours.
