On April 19, 1931 she married Jacob Lloyd Bodenhamer. Together they raised four daughters, Mary Ellen Garlick of Renton, WA, Nadine Brem of Fountain Valley, CA, Patricia Freeman of Renton, WA and Elaine Durney of Oxnard, CA. She was the proud grandmother of Gordon Blair, Lori Labrum, Julie Mapes and Sandra Anderson. She also felt blessed with her 10 great grandchildren and 5great great grandchildren.
Mary enjoyed traveling the US with her husband. They visited many historical sites and toured the county over a period of many years. She also loved teaching Sunday School at the Renton Baptist Church, making quilts and baking.
The funeral service will be held, 12pm, Friday, April 2, 2010 at Greenwood Funeral Home, 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, 98056, followed by a committal service at Greenwood Memorial Park, then a reception will be held at The Lodge At Eagle Ridge, 1600 S. Eagle Ridge Dr, Renton, 98055.
