Maxima Bernabe Fajardo

Maxima Bernabe Fajardo, 93, of Renton, Washington, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 1, 1930, in Norzagaray Bulacan, Philippines, to Tomasa Esquivel and Luis Bernabe. Maxima was predeceased by her husband, Pedro Legaspi Fajardo, and is survived by her children Evangel “Gil,” Epifanio “Pip,” Adora “Dori,” and Gloria “Gigi,” and her sister Celestina Corpuz.

Maxima and Pedro owned a farm in the Philippines, working diligently to send all four children to college. Their dedication was recognized when they were honored as Parents of the Year. In 1986, they moved to the United States to care for their grandchildren in Seattle, Washington.

Surrounded by her children and their families in the Seattle area, Maxima cherished spending her days with them. She was dearly loved by her children; in-laws Helen, Eleanor, Conrad, and Manuel; grandchildren JJ and his wife Jen, Mei and his partner Azia, Niña and her husband Mike, Phillis and her husband Jasper, Pamela and her partner Robie, Paola, Aara and her husband Jonathan, Aarin and her husband Loyd, Camille and her husband Chris, and Kristina and her husband Jeff; as well as her great-grandchildren Jadeyn, Kailani, Kiana, Johan, Preston, Teigan, Adora, the soon-to-arrive Arlo Maxima, Matthew, Mila, Dylan, and Victoria.

A memorial service in her honor will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home, 350 Monroe Ave Ne, Renton, WA 98056.
