He had just moved into a peaceful home in Shelton owned by Steve and Sue Wilson. Thanks to their generosity and love, dad had many visitors during that time.
Born to Martin and Olive Svor on Dec 12, 1924 on a farm in Tioga, North Dakota. He was one of seven children. His last surviving sibling is Alvina (Don) Schroll.
After graduation he joined the Navy and served in World War II. He was very proud of his job on the Amphibious Boat as a Landing Signal Officer.
On July 4th, 1948 he married his wife of 65 years until Rose died at the age of 85. They had three children, Diane (Ron) Potts, Randy (deceased) and Leitha (Al) Green. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Maynard worked at Boeing for 39 years until he retired as a Mockup Supervisor. They were so excited to visit their heritage countries of Denmark and Norway thanks to Al and Leitha.
The last four and one half years of his life his daughter, Diane, took care of him lovingly at his home.
He was deeply loved by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Thanks is not enough for all of you who were a vital part of his life and passing.
