Mei Kam Yeung (Lee) was born on August 8, 1937 in Toishan, Guangdong, China. She was the youngest in a family of six. In 1959, she moved to Hong Kong, where she met and married Chin Wai Yeung. Desiring a better life with more opportunities for her family, Mrs. Yeung convinced her husband to immigrate to America. On November 21, 1976, they immigrated to America, settling in Seattle, WA, where they had relatives. While Mr. Yeung worked at a restaurant, Mrs. Yeung attended ESL classes at Seattle Central Community College, and took care of their daughter. Later on, she began attending ESL classes at Chinese Southern Baptist Church, where she came to know the Lord. She was a faithful follower of Christ, always willing to serve others and lend a helping hand. She was always smiling, always caring, and loved to sing and read the Bible.
Mrs. Yeung was devoted to her family, taking care of her daughters, and spoiling her granddaughters with food and gifts. She led an active life, attending church, serving or volunteering in the community, exercising with friends at the YMCA, and spending time with family. Having survived cancer twice, Mrs. Yeung continued to smile and stay active. She went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2013. She is survived by daughters Winnie and Ming, son-in-law Paul, and granddaughters Kaylee and Callie.
Burial arrangements under the direction of Greenwood Memorial Park.
