Mo Yee Fong

Many of the people in this room have gathered to help remember Mo Yee Fong. Some of you may have never met her, but knew the impact that she had on the lives of the people around her. Mo Yee was a dutiful daughter, a loving sister, a supportive wife and a caring mother. To everyone else, she was a friend and a confidante. For those of you who did not get the chance to meet her, you knew of her from her family and are here to pay the final respects to her and offer support to those she left behind.

Mo Yee was born in China in 1953 and move to the United States in 1979. She met her husband Stanley in 1981 and they were married in December. They had two children, Annie and Raymond. The small family moved around between Seattle and Montana before settling down in Bremerton, WA.

Between the years of 1987 - 2001, Stanley and Mo Yee made a life for themselves in Bremerton. They had a family owned restaurant called "King's Pavilion" where Mo Yee cooked, waited on tables, managed and still found time to raise Annie and Raymond. After the restaurant was sold, the family moved to Seattle. She joined the Grand Hyatt Seattle in 2001 and spent the past 9 years making friends and touching the lives of many individuals.

Mo Yee fell ill in December of 2006. Over the course of the next five years, she never gave up hope that she could beat the disease that she had. During this time, Mo Yee was optimistic, she never let others know the pain and discomfort that she had while receiving treatment. She left this world painlessly and quietly on Saturday, February 12th, 2011 with her family surrounding her.

Mo Yee loved being surrounded by people and has made many friends throughout the years. Her smile and laughter will forever live on in our hearts and memories. Please take this time to reflect on your memories of her, but be comforted to know that she is finally at peace. On behalf of her family, thank you for taking time to come and be here with her one final time.
