

As a youth, she attended Dunbar School in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and was a member of St John Baptist Church, accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior at age thirteen.
At age 16 she married Clarence Pennington, Jr. (age 19), also of Broken Bow and remained married to him until his death in October 1992. Together they had four children, Glenn Elliott, Reginal Dean, Asa Lynn, and Flossie Denese.
Receiving her high school diploma through the Seattle Opportunities Industrialization Center (SOIC) in the late 1960s, she went on to earn her A.A. from Seattle Central Community College and her B.A. from the University of Washington in Elementary Education. She taught in the Seattle School District for 20 years primarily with 4th grade students.
Moszell was a member of Washington Park Baptist Church and later joined Mt Zion Baptist Church by letter in 1976 holding many leadership roles and distinguishing herself as the first woman Chair over the Diaconate Ministry.
Funeral Services will be Friday, June 12th, 2026, at 11:00 am at Mt Zion Baptist Church, officiant, Rev. Patricia Hunter and eulogist, Rev. Aaron Williams.
Internment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Renton, WA.
