Newton Edward Ellifrits, of Renton, WA died on Sunday April 27, 2014. Ed was born in Kansas City, Kansas on Feb 13, 1938 to the late Eva and Gusfer Ellifrits. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty. He had three step brothers and two step sisters. He served in the Navy for 4 years and was stationed in San Diego, where he met his wife of 57 years, Joyleen. They married in 1957 and have four children, Kevin Ellifrits of Renton WA, Laurie Balestra of Telford, PA, Darla Ellifrits of Buckley WA and Troy Ellifrits of Kent, WA, three Granddaughters, Lindsay, Tasha and Tara of Pennsylvania. Ed was a Teamster and drove 18 Wheelers for 41 years. He was a loving husband and father. He had many friends and will be dearly missed. A graveside service will be held May 7 at 2pm at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, WA.
