Grandma was born on 12/23/1925 in Canton, China. She lost her mother when she was a teenager and had to take care of her younger brother and two younger sisters. She got married in 1944 and had seven (7) sons and one daughter in Vietnam. She became a widow when she was only 47. Though she didn’t have the privilege to study formally, she taught herself how to read and would always ask others if she didn’t know a word in the newspaper. She taught her kids to be honest, humble, hard working, respectful especially of the elderly. She had twelve grandchildren and three great grandkids. She ended her life naturally and peacefully.
