Dear Family,
I was just going to send a Christmas greeting to Pat, but was checking the internet for a possible new address.  Instead, I must send sympathy for your loss...only a month ago.  
My mother, Barbara Peterson Haasch, was Pat's cousin.  I remember vividly when Pat and her mother, Lenore, visited us in Boise.  They were en route to Sun Valley for summertime ice skating.  I was a teenager and idolized Pat as a famous ice skater!
I have been with her only three times since then:
She and John attended our son Dan Freeman's wedding at Faraway Lodge near Tacoma.
We stayed with them at Flathead Lake  in 2009.   The four of us drove to Missoula for the Choral Festival.  We had a wonderful time!  John and Jim talked airplanes incessantly.
In late August, 2012 we stopped to see Pat during an anniversary trip.  She was packing up the lake house to leave for home.
I called her once during the Winter Olympics and she mentioned that her memory was failing.
I have a number of photos of your family which my grandparents, Luther (Pete) and Mary Peterson, saved. (Pete was Lenore's sister and lived in Payette, Idaho.)  Please let me know if I could mail them to you.
