Paul Douglas Jones

Paul was born June 25, 1947 in Bloomington, Indiana to Dr. William A. Jones and Betty Jones. After graduating high school in Indianapolis, Indiana Paul joined the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego. Upon leaving the military Paul returned to Evansville, Indiana to attend college at Indiana State University. He met his wife Carol when he returned to Bloomington in 1971. In 1975 they moved to the Pacific Northwest where he worked for PTS Tuner Company, Zepher Electronics and for the past 30 years, worked for Arrow Electronics as a field sales representative. They have lived in the Renton area for the past 23 years. Paul’s passion in life was spending time on their sailboat where he was very active in the Three Tree Point Yacht club and had served as a commodore in the past. Paul and Carol enjoyed participating in all of the yacht club cruises and exploring the San Juan Islands as frequently as possible.

He is survived by his wife Carol, their son Christopher, his sister Jan and brother in law Bill Yore of Coloma, Michigan, brother in law Gary and Janet East of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, nieces and nephews: Claire, Rob, Marie, Becky and Sarah.

A celebration of his life will be held July 26th at 1:00pm at the Des Moines Activity Center, 2045 S 216th Ave South, Des Moines WA. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Des Moines Youth Sailing Camp.
