Phillip, the most loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather is survived by his wife, Wendy; daughter, Jae (Chad) Lykken; son, Andrew (Esther) Chen; granddaughter, Kiera Lykken; grandsons Caleb Lykken, Cohen Lykken, Logan Chen, and Carson Chen.
After college, Phillip followed his passion for residential skyscraper construction, leading to the formation of his first construction company at the age of 24. Throughout Taiwan’s economic growth era in the 1980s and 1990s, Phillip’s company constructed more than seven major residential projects. A dutiful son, Phillip presented his first finished unit to his parents.
Phillip loved the sport of golf, and one could often spot him lightly swinging his right arm as he walked to perfect his golf swing. A proud Taiwanese, he paid close attention to politics concerning his homeland. In 2000, Phillip and Wendy retired to Newcastle, Washington, where he focused on being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Phillip’s face always lit up with a big smile whenever he saw his grandchildren. His love for family will be everlasting and forever remembered.
Funeral services will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Renton, Washington on November 6th, 2023 at 10:00 am.
