Rea Marlene Short

Rea was born to James & Opal Wheeler in 1950. She graduated from Franklin High School in Portland.

She was a cheerleader, on the Tennis team, part of the Rifle Team (which her dad was one of the coaches), served on committees and was Class Treasurer.

Rea worked for the Portland School district for 15years, making a difference in numerous kids lives. In March of 1997, she re-kindled a relationship with her high school sweetheart, Marshall Short, and they married in June of 2000. They traveled the world, loving to adventure together. They had a tradition of going on hunting trips in October every year.

Rea had a caring heart, contagious laugh and went above and beyond for the ones she loved.

Rea is preceded in death by her father James and her mother Opal, husband Marshall.

She is survived by her brother James Wheeler (Marilyn), daughter Bobbi Allen(Gerell Embers), son Matthew Short(Brittany), son Mark Short (Jenni), Niece Heather EnYart(David), nephew Tim Wheeler, grandsons Alastaire, Mitchell, Lincoln, Easton and granddaughter JJ and countless friends.
