home in SeaTac, Washington after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 57 years old.
Bobby was born in Manila, Philippines in December of 1964 to Ricardo Ocampo and Ramona Arteche. He grew up in the subdivision of Las Piñas, where he would meet his future wife. He graduated from the University of the East where he completed his Business Management degree. He worked as a call center technician for the remainder of his time in the Philippines. In 2014, he immigrated to the United States and married his childhood love, Ana Maria Riley. In this newest chapter of his story, he worked a variety of jobs until he found his most recent position at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport as a warehouse associate. Throughout his life, he carried with him a strong work ethic, his sense of humor, his free spirit, and his faith in God. A young and carefree soul, Bobby loved the simple pleasures in life. Whether it was cooking and eating his favorite Filipino dishes such as giniling or beef caldereta, playing with the family dogs, or sharing a funny video or picture to his friends and family, there was always a reason
for Bobby to smile. He could most often be found intently watching action movies and crime dramas with a cold glass of Coke Zero after a hard day’s work. Superhero movies and TV shows were his favorites, and often his daughters would watch alongside his constant replays of Justice League, Titans, Batman, Captain America, and many more. Each time, his eyes filled with childlike joy and excitement as he explained the comic book worlds and stories he had grown up with, down to every minute detail.
Of all the superheroes Bobby loved, it is fitting that his favorite hero was also the word his friends and family would often use to describe him: Superman.
The tremendous physical strength to care for his home and family. The colossal inner strength to carry himself through any hardship. The lightness and freedom of being, as if he could fly. Above all, he was kind and loved the world, and was a beloved champion to all who knew him. He is now free from suffering and pain and is free to fly amongst the angels. He will be sorely missed by those left on Earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Diane Christine Ocampo. He is survived by his wife, his two daughters, Nina Alexandra Arranza-Riley and Rebecca Helene Riley, and his son, Robert Christian Ocampo.
