Ron passed away on September 6, 2017 in Maple Valley, WA of melanoma cancer which he fought for over a year. He was born on September 3, 1944 in Seattle to Ralph and Leona Stroben. Ron graduated from Franklin High School and attended Highline Community College. He served our country in the US Navy aboard the USS Oklahoma City. Ron worked for Philip Morris Tobacco for many years. Following his retirement, he became a Farmers Insurance agent with an office in Renton. He was an active member of Renton Chamber of Commerce and Mountain River Trails Camping Association. Family get-togethers were his greatest pleasure. He loved camping, reading detective novels, and cooking for family gatherings. Ron will be deeply missed by his wife Robin, his daughters Amy (Chris) Williamson and Cheryl Stroben, son-in-law Mat Miller, his six grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is preceded in death by daughter Christine Miller, and sisters Paddy Frombach and MaryLou Shansby. His smile and funny words will be greatly missed by those who knew him. At his request, no services will be held. He was laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
