Roy Melvin Reynolds

Born April 12th, 1920-November 14th, 2011

Roy was born to Martha Ellen Reynolds and Robert Reynolds in Indianapolis Indiana. Roy met his one true love for life, Iva De Bord in his teens. They were married on December 25th at the ages of 21 and 18. They served the Lord together until Iva's passing on August 14th 1999 at the age of 77. They were married 59 years. Roy continued to serve the Lord right up to his last breath.

There life was filled with the love of the Lord, and they lived this life for all their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to see. There very life was a dedication to our Lord. The life they lived was not one filled with empty words of religion, but true examples of how people who are filled with the Holy Spirit live. Their life reflected the very word of God.

Roy went into the Navy to serve his country. These travels were world wide. To name a few; Europe, Africa, Asia, Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Japan, Italy, and many more.

After he got out of the Navy, his wife Iva and their two children Roy David and La Donna re-located to the state of Washington to a place called The "Renton Highlands", where they lived for a short time. They then purchased some land in Colefield. There they began to build their dream house together. They then had their third child, Sharon. They lived in this same home for 59 years until Roy sold it after his wife's death in 1999.

During these years of living in their home, Roy worked as a A-1 tool and dye worker in the Aerospace division at Boeings for 40 years until he retired.

Roy will be remembered in many ways. His sense of humor was displayed right up until the night before he passed. He also, on the very night he passed continued to pray for his children while holding our hands. A true man of God, beloved dad, and wonderful example of how a man of God leads his family generation after generation. He is now with his beloved wife, and son who passed just 47 days before him. What a reunion that must have been!!!! We all love you.
