Shirley was born in Seattle on August 24, 1935 to George and Bessy Urlin and died peacefully Saturday, January 28, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving husband and family. Shirley graduated fro West Seattle High School and lived her entire life in Seattle. After retirement from the Federal Reserve Bank Shirley and Mayo traveled the world, be it by cruise ship, plane or bus and brought home story after story of their travels. The only hesitation to their travels was leaving her pets that she loved so much. It was the family gatherings, Christmas and the Holidays that she loved and would share stories of holidays past. If Shirley had a weakness, it was for old movies and she didn't hesitate to stay up into the wee hours watching the classics. Oh how she loved Abbott and Costello! Shirley is survived by her loving husband May; niece Delores Hadfield (husband Russ), nephew, John Webby (wife Cherri) and many great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on February 4th at 11:00 am at the Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home, 350 Monroe Ave. NE Renton, WA.
Arrangements under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home, Renton, WA.
