Teofila Bautista Argonza was born on September 10, 1927 in Binalonan, Pangasinan in the Philippines. Her parents were Calixto Bautista Sr. and Gavina Garcia, and she was one of their 13 children. She had sisters and six brothers, with 3 surviving siblings left. She was married to Juan R. Argonza (deceased). Teofila is survived by four children: Angelita A. Ovalles (Art Ovalles) , Gloria A. Ovalles (Armando Ovalles), Juan B. Argonza Jr. (Rosalinda Argonza) and Agnes B. Argonza. She had 4 grandchildren (Lai-Lani, Grace, Brain and Andrew) and two great grandchildren (Gelayn and Amerie).
Known to all who loved her as Mommy, she lived in Kilauea, Kaua’i and worked at Hanalei Bay Resort. She loved to travel and visit her family in the Philippines. She is greatly missed by all her family and friends and deeply loved by all who knew her.
