

Tivinia Latuselu was born on February 17th, 1934 in the islands of Tonga. Born to her loving parents, Ana Fakalupeahi Latuselu and Penisimani Iangi Latuselu, she was the oldest daughter of ten siblings that consisted of five sisters and four brothers. Of the ten children she is survived by her sisters Mele Tonga Latuselu and ‘Atelaite Lupeolo Tolelei Latuselu- Tupa.
Tivinia married her loving and wonderful husband Viliami Haine Faaumu, who passed away on September 6th, 2008 in Puyallup, WA. They were both Seventh Day Adventist members and shared a love for God and the church. Together they had eight wonderful children, five daughters and three sons. Tivinia’s oldest daughter Amelia Tangikimuli Latu passed one year after her husband in June of 2009. Tivinia is survived by her remaining daughters and sons, Tivoli Siaifoi Faaumu (son), Evateni Faaumu (son), Sateki Tonga Faaumu (son), Viola Katalina Faaumu (daughter), Laie Fa’angalo Faaumu (daughter), Latu Faaumu- Niutei (daughter) and Lillipeti Faaumu- Lino (daughter).
While in Tonga Tivinia was a seamstress and worked for the government sewing uniforms for the police department and military. When she was not sewing uniforms Tivinia was at home raising her children. After her time in Tonga, Tivinia and her husband moved to the United States in 1989. They first arrived in Maui, Hawaii and later moved to Washington State, living in Federal Way and Puyallup. Tivinia is survived by twenty-six grandchildren and six great grandchildren that loved and cared for her dearly. Tivinia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught them many things about the importance of love, family and God. Tivinia was a loving and caring person that could light up a room with her amazing smile. She will be missed by her family, especially her love for her family and her faith in God. She is now with Dad in a better place and one day we will meet them again.
