Vardra Marcus Fancher, known as Tex, was born in Cameron, TX on August 10, 1927 to Gladys Fancher and her husband. He is survived by his wife, Consuelo Fancher, 4 children, 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 step-children; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
After entering the Navy at 17 and sailing on the USS TALLADEGA in World War II, he attended Oregon State University. He worked for NASA in Houston, TX on the Apollo II project as an electrical engineer. His career brought him back to the PNW where he worked for Boeing for over 30 years in Aerospace.
Services will be held at St. Barbara Church on June 9th, and the family invites attendees to Consuelo's home for a reception afterwards.
