Vi passed away July 18, 2013. She was born December 24, 1919 in Hecla, South Dakota to William Corlis Jr. and Jennie Sidman Corlis. She and her family moved to Renton in 1937 where she graduated from Renton High School , met and married the love of her life George R. (Bob) Beach. They were married on
April 19, 1939 and celebrated the next 74 years together.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Gregory Lee Hallock, her sisters Donna Alberts, Doris Anderson and Iva Collins her brother Arvid Corlis.
She is survived by her loving husband Bob, children Bobbie (Lee) Hallock, Iola (Paul) Rehn, grandson Jeffrey (Jessica) Rehn and two great grandchildren Hallie and Colton.
Our mother will always remain to us the most beautiful, fashionable mother possible. She was an experienced buyer for I Magnins, worked at the Renton Library, worked as a bookkeeper and later waitressed for Dad’s mother’s restaurant “Elsie’s Lunch” in Renton . Mom had a passion for dancing and danced with such style and grace. She danced with Dad and to his harmonica and violin music right up to three months before
passing. She loved all holidays and family gatherings and attended Sunday church services and church
activities at the Renton Highlands Community church with Dad for over fifty years.
