Beverly Vanney

Beverly L. Vanney, age 73, of Gleason, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 8, 1938 in Rhinelander, the daughter of Oscar and Lucy (Belski) Durkee. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1956. She married Tom Vanney on October 4, 1958 in Rhinelander. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children, knitting, canning food, and going to the casino, but most of all she enjoyed being a mom and grandma.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Tom, her children; Annette (Dean) Grant of Bundy, WI, Robert (Margie) Vanney of Vernon Hills, IL, Lisa (Jerry) Hoganson of Wausau, WI, Irvin (Leila) Vanney of Ringle, WI; her brothers Oscar ( Kathy) Durkee, Charlie (Loretta) Durkee; her sisters Donna Robinson, Mary (Jerry) Knuth, a close family friend Joe Wachal, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
