Elizabeth Grace Thomas

Elizabeth G. Thomas, age 89, died Friday December 13 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 10, 1924 to her parents Emil and Johanna (Schall) Reinke in Milwaukee. She attended grade school in Milwaukee, and graduated from Milwaukee Tech in 1941. She married Melvin Thomas on August 27, 1942. They both moved to Rhinelander in 1980 after their retirement. She was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years. She loved to do crafts, especially for St. Mary’s Hospital gift shop, and spend time with her family.

Elizabeth is survived by her children Diane Loebel of New Port Ricky FL, David (Charlotte) Thomas of Panama City FL, Darlene (Donald) Lau of Tomahawk, and Dale Thomas of Woodboro, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Dean.

A celebration of life for Elizabeth will be held Wednesday December 18th from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home, 715-365-4343 is assisting the family with arrangements. All are invited to light a candle and leave an online condolence for Elizabeth at www.hildebrandfh.com.
