Ermagard Ida Pehlke

Ermagard (Ermy) Pehlke was called to her eternal home July 13, 2011 at the age of 94. Ermy was born to the late Arthur and Hattie (Paremski) Dinger on August 20, 1916 in Madison, WI. Ermy was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was educated in Rhinelander schools. Ermy married Gilbert “Gib” Pehlke on December 30, 1972 and moved to Richland Center, WI for two years and moved back to Rhinelander. They owned and operated Pleasant Cove Resort for 12 years in the town of Pelican on Lake George. Ermy loved to travel, she traveled to Hawaii. Ermy and Gib took trips to Austria, Germany, Sweden and Denmark, and they also took a cruise to the Bahamas. Ermy liked to play cards, spend time with family, do crafts like knitting and embroidering, crocheting, and macramé.

Ermy is survived by her husband Gib, her daughter Gail (Bill) Koenig, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Marilynn, two brothers and her first husband Walt Winquist and step-dad Matt Stevens.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Matthew Schoell officiating burial to follow at Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
