Jack, i am really going to miss you. Our many conversations at theY. A lot of them funny, some even intelligent. When you griped about the Chrysler I sold you and I know you loved it. I remember working in law enforcement in  Oneida County in the 1970's, Jack was SHeriff during that period. He was a great leader and I considered him a friend.  He was a great man and touched many. My prayers to his family, he is one person that I will remember for ever. God Bless.

I worked with Jack back in 1983 when he was an investigator for Oneida County Social Services.  The day wouldn't be complete without Jack's words of wisdom!  We would laugh a lot and his name brings a smile to my face! Rest in peace, Jack!

l met Jack a few years ago ( through my parents).  l will always remember his wit,humor and kindness.  He thought it was pretty special that we both shared the same Birthday. So, today March 12, as l blow out the candles, l raise a toast to Jack....." Happy Birthday friend".    thoughts and prayers to his children and family.

Our family is not known for our closeness BUT the love for each other was always there.  Jack & I stayed in touch even during the "busy" years either by phone or a quick visit wherever we could.  Last time was a gambling trip! I will never forget my favorite cousin and all the great memories we shared.  I love you Jack.  Give Mom & Dad a big hug from me...until we meet again....

Jack was quite the man!  I will remember the times spent with him and will miss seeing him occasionally at Carter.   My sympathy to the family.

I am saddened at the news of Jack's passing.  I enjoyed discussing new books with him.  God bless you all.

I'm very saddened to read about Jack's passing...now he can't hold up his end of OUR "pact!"  God Bless, Jack, and I do know who you are sharing that manhatten with at this very moment, dang it!  ((((hugs to you all)))  My very sincere condolences to the family!  I'm so very sorry.

Jack and I became best friends over the years starting with the time he threw me into jail. We laughed and talked about that time for many years. During our talks, Jack would laughingly say 'Metz, if I was still sheriff, you'd still be in jail.' Jack was a good sheriff and a great friend. Jack was one of the regulars on pizza night at the Kelley's. We'll miss him dearly. Good-bye old friend!
