Jean Louise Oldenburg

Jean Oldenburg, age 76, died Saturday December 14, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester Minnesota, surrounded by her family. She was born May 19, 1937 to Ancle and Marion (Swenkrude) Williams in Chicago, IL. She received her degree as RN from Evanston Hospital, which is affiliated with Northwest University. She moved to Rhinelander in 1977, where she worked at Taylor Park and Friendly Village Nursing Homes. After retirement, she worked at Walmart, in many of their departments. Jean married Bob on September 6, 1958 in Chicago IL. Jean was an active member at First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, snowflakes, squirrels, and being around friends and family.

Jean is survived by her husband Bob of Rhinelander, son Carl (Chris) of Minocqua, daughter Kathleen (Stephen) Lackey of Burlington NC, grandchildren Jessica, Amy, Emilee, Laura, Joseph, Faith, and Robert, further survived by many friends and family.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Rebecca Niese officiating. Visitation will be at 1 pm at the church.
