Judith Marie Nickerson

Judy was born on February 20, 1937 to John and Marie (Haag) Glavich in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended school in Columbus WI, Oshkosh St. University, and went on to attend Beauty School. She married Roger Nickerson in 1957. They moved to Rhinelander in 1968, where they raised three boys. Judy worked at the Glamour-Rae Beauty Shop for 28 years. After retiring, Judy and Roger enjoyed their time traveling and heading south for the winter. It was rare to find her at home. She also enjoyed spending time fishing with her sons, playing cards, and having family and friends over for delicious home cooked meals. Judy considered her husband, her family, and her friends life’s most precious gifts.

Judy is survived by Roger, her husband of 56 years, three sons, Jeff (Judy A.) of Rhinelander, Jay (Barbara) of Chesapeake Virginia, and Joel (Debbie) of Lakeville Minnesota, her three grandchildren, Ann, David (Amanda), and Patrick, and her two great-grandchildren, Kane and Adia. She is further survived by many special friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Mass will be Friday January 31, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at Nativity of Our Lord ~ St. Mary’s site with Father Tom Thakadipuram officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service at church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Judy’s name and may be given to her family. Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home, 715-365-4343 is assisting the family with arrangements.
