Ronald Janes Lewis

Ronald J. Lewis, age 87, of Rhinelander, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 7, 1923 in Pelican Lake, Wisconsin to Albert and Addie (Ashley) Lewis. He enlisted in the US Army on January 12, 1943 and was honorably discharged on December 23, 1945 receiving a bronze star. He married the love of his life, Nellie Whitman, they were married for 63 years and they raised their family together in Rhinelander.

Ronald really enjoyed the outdoors such as hunting, fishing, traveling and especially golfing and spending time in the summer at their cabin on Carrol Lake.

Ronald is survived by his

two sons; Marv (Patti) of Orlando, FL and

Pete (Lori) of Arbor Vitae;

As well as other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial mass will be at Nativity of Our Lord (St. Mary’s site) on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Father John Gerritts officiating. Visitation will Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the church beginning at 10:00A.M. until the time of service.
