Tongkom Zdroik

Tongkom Zdroik, age 64, of Rhinelander, died on Monday, May 28, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 9, 1948 in Thailand to Da and Kiew Soutonglang. She moved to the United States in 1975 and married Howard Zdroik, on September 4, 1975. She showed in moving to America, her courage, as she was the only one in her family to do so. Within two years of living in the United States, Tongkom had learned how to speak English, and in 1988 became a U.S. citizen. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, cooking and the Green Bay Packers. She was loved by her family, had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile.

She is survived by her loving husband, Howard, her children; Eric Zdroik and Amy (Mike) Trefz, all of West Allis, Wisconsin. She is also survived by four sisters and one brother. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home with Father Tom Thakadipuram officiating.
