Abraham Pecina, Sr., 49, of Dallas, entered his Heavenly home on Friday, February 5, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 18, 1971, in Dallas, to Juan & Oralia (De Leon) Pecina.
Abraham was employed by Iron Mountain where he served as Operations Manager. He wasn’t just a manager but a true leader and mentor to his team, supportive and encouraging as he brought the best out in people. Abraham could do anything and was a jack of all trades. He was an electrician, plummer, mechanic, and Mr. Fix-It of anything. If you had a problem that needed to be fixed, Abraham could do it. He found joy in helping others and you could count on him for anything.
He was the #1 fan of the Dallas Cowboys! Abraham was a sports fanatic of all Dallas teams – the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, and the Dallas Stars and had a large collection of sports memorabilia. Abraham enjoyed going to movies and was a restaurant connoisseur. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach and to Europe. Abraham had a love for nature and trees, as he soaked in all of the beauty of the earth that God created.
Abraham lived a life of serving God and serving others. He was an active member of Nueva Esperanza Baptist Church for several years, where he served as a deacon. His kindness and love radiated out of him to everyone he came in contact with. Abraham was truly a comedian and there was never a dull moment. He cherished his family more than anything and adored his fur babies and grandbabies. Abraham made an impact on others and he leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and selflessness. He was truly one of a kind and the world was a better place with him in it. Abraham will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Abraham is survived by his wife of 32 years, Adela Pecina; daughter and son-in-law, Annay & Arturo Arreguin; son, Abraham Pecina, Jr.; grandchildren, Jacob Hernandez, Mia Hernandez, and Alec Arreguin; godchildren, Liam Pecina and Lauren Garcia; parents, Juan & Oralia Pecina, Sr.; brother, Juan (Norma) Pecina, Jr.; sisters, Patricia (Adolfo) Aguilar and Betty Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Although he left this world far too soon, Heaven rejoices to welcome Abraham. “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
