Allison Grace Mason, born August 9, 2017, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on August 12 – owing to a congenital heart defect and other complications arising from the chromosomal disorder, Trisomy 18 with which she was diagnosed in April. Her final hours were spent at home, embraced by her adoring parents, Jeb and Taylor Mason of Dallas, who are immensely grateful for the time they had with her and the joy she has brought to their family. During her three days among us, she touched many lives and was deeply loved by family and friends. We will never forget her sweet face, her voice, her hands and feet, and her individual personality which shone through out of proportion to her tiny size.
Allison joins her maternal grandparents, Ken and Dee (Kadane) Hughes in Heaven, and is survived by her parents as well as sisters, Neely and Mary Hicks; brother, George; paternal grandmother Patricia Hicks Mason; paternal grandfather George Jefferson Mason III.
Her parents are very thankful for the tremendous outpouring of love, prayers, support and various kindnesses they have received from family, friends, medical professionals, our church community throughout this challenging time.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30am, Thursday, August 17, at Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allison’s memory to Park Cities Presbyterian Church (www.PCPC.org/give) or to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Baylor Hospital Dallas (http://give.baylorhealth.com).
Arrangements under the direction of Sparkman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Richardson, TX.
