My sweet Ashie Ash! I miss you so much and still think about you everyday. I love remembering that sweet smile, laugh, and all your spontaneous dance parties. I cherish the bond that I was able to create with you and all the love that you gave me. I miss all the days where we would get to play together in the playroom and I would give you cookies, pizza, and steal popsicles for you from Ms. Ana’s classroom. Who could ever say no to you? I know I couldn’t! I can still vividly hear your “monster voice” and it brings a smile to my face every time. I like to say that you always had to be holding Cuddly because you just had so much love to give at all times! My daughter has a deep love for animals and is completely fearless. It brings me peace to believe that she learned these traits from you. She also has a little angel kiss and I know it’s from you giving her so many kisses! Thank you for teaching her the same lessons that you taught me before she came to meet me. You continuously touch the souls of everyone you encounter and you live on in everyone’s hearts. Until our next dance party, Ashlynn Kay! I’ll bring the cookies and you bring that adorable smile, blonde piggies, and your favorite Mini Melissa dancing shoes! You’re still Ms. Katelyn’s courageous, strong, loving, carefree, adventurous, and intelligent baby! I love you immensely, sweet girl. 🤍  Thank you for sending me a Dove this week!

Ashlynn was such a little ball of energy. She would run and run and run just because she could. One day I told her I'd time her to see how quickly she could run from one end of the clinic to the other and she did it in 8 seconds, then 7, then 6 and she told me she was "training to run a marathon" She would sing, but if you caught her singing it'd immediately stop and in my short time at the clinic, she already aknoweldged me as someone who would be there. I will never forget you, Ashlynn, thank you for making me feel welcome at the clinic and making each day you were there a super fun day.

Sweet Ashlynn, I may not have known you long but believe me you made an impact. You always were making people laugh and smile. I always loved hearing your little giggles and pitter pattering feet around the clinic and your silly stories. I will miss your help “cleaning” Kahlo and I’m sure she misses it too. Make sure God gives you all the rainbow stickers. 

Oh sweet Ashie-Ash. Where do I even begin? I started teaching you when I was only sixteen years old, but in reality, you taught me more than I ever could’ve taught you. You taught me that every thing is important, no matter how small, you taught me to laugh, even if you’re hurt, you taught me to sing and dance loudly, you taught me to appreciate every pretty dress, pair of shoes, or hair do. You taught me to always hug and kiss others when they need some love, you taught me to always play, you taught me to always smile and laugh, you taught me to jump into any new adventure with no fears, and most importantly you taught me that love is endless. So for that, I have to thank you for all that you did for me. Anytime somebody would ask, “Who’s Ms. Katelyn’s baby?” You’d yell, “Me!” You were truly my baby, Ashlynn Kay. Working with you was not work, it was a miracle. I was the only one allowed to touch your hair and the certified Cuddly holder during school. I will cherish every moment that I got to hold you, do your hair, give you love when you were sad, and give you cuddles. I thought I had loved before, but I never knew the extent of how much I could love such a small human. I am so thankful that I got to know your sweet, smiling, puppy-loving self. You touched my heart and my soul. You will live on through me and every other person whose soul you touched. Fly high, my babygirl. I will love you forever my Ashie-Ash. 


Such a joyful and delightful child, had many questions and comments! She will truly be missed, but it was such a pleasure meeting her.

I wish I could throw the ball with you one last time and hear you correct me how I was throwing it wrong. I wish I could help you clean your foot one last time from stepping in peanut butter and I wish I could just see one more of your drawing master pieces. I know God couldn't wait to have you back with him. You were a true angel. Let your parents hear you in their hearts laughing with Him, running and laughing. We will forever cherish the beautiful moments you engraved in us. Thank you for being so perfect. Thank you for making us a part of your life. 

Beautiful beautiful Ashlynn. I will always remember how excited I would get to hear your mom say “Im going to run to get babygirl from daycare” in between appointments. I wanted to get all my work done before you got to the clinic so I could play with you. The days you came sound asleep in your stroller, I would wait for your mom to go into an exam room and then I would wake you so I could see your beautiful smile. You always left a trail behind you anywhere you went, yes a literal trail; marbles, stamps, goldfish crackers, you name it. Your smile and laugh could make my terrible day perfect  again. One of the best days was when your mama let you color with markers and I was “keeping an eye on you” while she was in an appointment. I turn around and not only are you
covered in marker, but the inside of the desk drawers had beautiful drawings! I wish I could have came down to visit one time, but I know I will be able to see you
someday soon. 💜

Sweet, precious little Ashlynn. You impacted my life more than you will ever know in the last 2.5 years that I’ve gotten to know you. I was always impressed at how well behaved you were when you were up at the clinic with us. You were able to make everyone, and I mean everyone, laugh and smile. You’re adorable little voice and the way you asked for help with things will always be a part of my memory. I am so thankful for all your doodles on the walls around the clinic because they are a wonderful reminders of your ceaseless presence. I know you’re giggling and playing with all your favorite toys up there. And eating all the cupcakes that I’d give you without asking your mom until you’d already eaten most of it (sorry Ferrell). Watch over us sweet angel, especially your parents, grandparents and baby sister. Everyone misses you so much. You impacted so many people in your short time here on earth. The reunion one day will be worth the painful wait. Oh, what a day to look forward to! We love you so much Ashlynn Kay. 

Seeing her beautiful smile running around the vet office and my office practice. Her smile immediately lit a room up. Truest closest thing to an angel on earth.  We love u baby girl and miss u
