August 12, 1981 – July 9, 2018
Brian Barrett Heerwald was born August 12, 1981 in the Richardson area, and passed July 9, 2018 at age 36.
After going through the Richardson school system his work took him to live briefly in Stephenville, Tolar, Granbury and Pleasanton before returning to the Dallas area in 2012.
Some of Brian's favorite things include cuttin' a rug with pretty girls, throwin' down a party, being with family and friends, fishing and boating. He's a huge movie buff with an intense love of music.
You always know there'll be laughter and fun when Brian's involved. His thoughts have always put others first to ensure everyone around him is having fun and taken care of. There's not a selfish bone in his body.
Brian was preceded in death by his beloved Gunner who will share eternity with him, and is survived by his mother Barbara, father Ric, one brother Richard and his wife Sara and their children Reece and Brody, one sister Melissa Weatherford and her husband Reid and their children Jagger, Barrett and Ranger, and Gunner's successor Duke.

Ric and Barbara, words cannot convey how heavy my heart is and how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I will always remember the great times we had growing up in Richardson and the life lessons we learned together. He always made me and everyone around him laugh and feel loved. Although we hadn’t talked in months, we always found time to chat and catch up when it was important. You all did a great job raising a great and generous man. He will be deeply missed by me and my family. I love you all.

I am thinking of you all, and remember Brian always making people laugh. He had such a great sense of humor. Although it has been quite a long time since I have seen all of you, I will always have a special place in my heart for your family.
