

Buck lived a full and meaningful life, filled with boating, restoring automobiles, fishing, traveling, and, most of all, time with family. He was born in Oacoma, South Dakota, to Malcolm C. Perkins and Gertrude B. Martin, and was their only child. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
On February 16, 1961, Buck married Natalie Kingman Hatch. Together they shared a loving life and welcomed one son, Stephen Perkins, on November 22, 1961. Buck and Stephen shared a bond that went far beyond father and son; they were best friends. Buck stayed closely connected with his family throughout his life, always checking in and reaching out with care and affection. He was a gentle, kind man who served as a loving presence at the center of his family.
Buck devoted 65 years to his work as a public administrator and served in various convalescent hospitals, caring for thousands of people over the years. He also gave 25 years of service as a reserve police officer in Huntington Beach, California, where he helped protect his community while continuing his career. In addition, he contributed to social causes through the Lions Club and supported efforts to expand the children’s wing of the local library. He also spent time writing policies and procedures for nursing home administration, work he carried out with dedication and consistency. Buck was also a Veteran and served for 6 years in the United States Airforce armed services. In his earlier Years in 1963-66 Buck worked at North American Aviation where he was a Manufacturer Liason Engineer.
One of Buck’s favorite places to visit was Catalina Island, where he spent many summers from the mid-1970s through the mid-1980s enjoying family, friends, and relaxation. His life was defined by service, loyalty, and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Buck is survived by his wife, Natalie K. Perkins; his son, Stephen Perkins; his granddaughters, Amber Ash and Brianna Perkins; his son-in-law, Ryan Ash; and his great-grandchildren, Sadie Mae Ash and Ryker Ash.
Buck Lee Perkins will be remembered with love and gratitude, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. AMEN TO A LIFE WELL LIVED DAD!
