Carole Brooks Oden

Carole Brooks Oden (85) of Pottsboro, TX passed away peacefully and was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on 10/4/2017. She was most recently living at North Park Health and Rehabilitation Center in McKinney, TX where she was receiving care for the last several months. Born 9/25/1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Curtice B and Julia J (Hanson) Robertson. She graduated from Classen High School – OKC, Class of 1950. She was a quick-witted, independent and spirited soul who enjoyed a diverse career including flight attendant, (Braniff), professional bowler, legal assistant and retired as a financial executive with an engineering and consulting organization (Ralph E. Phillips, Inc., Los Angeles, CA). She was a life-long avid golfer with three holes in one to her credit and continued playing the game into her later years. Survived by daughters Candace B. (Joel H.) Barrett, and Kelly L Oden; sister Vicki J. Rippeto; grandchildren Joel H. Barrett, Jr. and Jerry E. Barrett; nephew Jeremy B. Cloud. A private memorial service and interment will occur at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
