Catherine (Kitty)(O’Neil) Harrison, 91, of Flower Mound, Texas passed away peacefully in the care of Vitas Hospice Center, on Monday, February 26, 2024. Born in New Britain, Connecticut on August 23, 1932 to John and Tessie O’Neil, she moved to Kilgore, Tx at the age of 16 due to health concerns. There she met her husband Curtis R. Harrison and married him on August 23, 1951. They moved into the Dallas area where Curtis had family.
Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, brother Patrick O’Neil, her sister Barbara Zapor, her son-in-law Bruce Fulwiler and the love of her life Curtis Harrison. She is survived by her three children, Patricia Woodfin and husband Don of Flower Mound, Tx, Christopher Harrison and wife Roxanne of Bowie, Tx, and Lorraine Fulwiler of The Colony, Tx. She leaves behind six grandchildren (John, Tracey, David, Rachael, Laura and Sarah), fourteen great grandchildren (Stormi, Darrin, Mason, Alex, Kady, McKenzie, Jacob, Emily, Alexis, John Marc, Jace, Brixton, Cru, Ryan and Rowdy) and three great great grandchildren (Brantley, Willow and Jensen).
She is also survived by her sister, Martha Pavano and her husband Carl in Connecticut along with numerous nieces and nephews in Texas, Connecticut, Illinois, Colorado, Alabama and South Carolina.
After retiring from her accounting position with Maxi Lift, Kitty loved to do crossword puzzles, shop catalogues, write funny stories, tell jokes, travel and watch old movies, especially westerns. She was fortunate enough to go to Alaska, Hawaii, and China with family. With church groups she traveled to Israel, Egypt, Ireland and Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia a part of Yugoslavia at that time. She was extremely generous and always looked most to those she felt in need. She loved her church and especially loved to sing worship songs (because she could hear those best). Kitty was genuinely fond of her helper, KJ who worked with her for many years, and her chiropractor, Dr. Art Bradley who listened attentively to her jokes.
The Visitation for Catherine will take place at Cross Timbers Church in Argyle from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, and will be followed by her Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Family and friends are encouraged to have a final pass by the casket between 12:50 - 1:00 pm.
