

David was born in Hopkins Minnesota where he graduated from High School and the University of Minnesota with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He was employed by Sandia Corporation, an atomic energy laboratory, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There, he met his first wife, Carol Stiles, and they had four children before moving to Dallas, Texas where he joined Collins Radio. Two more children were born before moving to Richardson in their present home on Cliffside. After his wife died of cancer, he met Margaret Dabalack of Parsons, Kansas with four children. They married and had one child, Patrick.
David was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Church as an usher and participating in the parish advisory committee. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as their Financial Secretary for nine years, He enjoyed woodworking, building many articles of furniture around the house; construction projects, upstairs addition to the house; and repairing cars and appliances. His hobbies included collecting stamps and tracing family history. David enjoyed playing Bridge, Cribbage, and many other card games.
Traveling was an adventure, especially when the children were young, even if we only traveled to see the grandparents in Kansas and Minnesota. Later David & Margaret traveled to the Czech Republic, Alaska, Hawaii, and most of the other 50 states.
David is survived by his wife, Margaret of 61 Years, his children, Thomas and former wife, Theresa; Stephen; Joseph and wife, Roxanne: Mary and her husband Michael Fuhrman; Martha and her husband, David Logue and George and his wife, Cynthia with whom he shared with his deceased wife, Carol. Patrick and wife, Mary, with whom he was shared with current wife, Margaret. And stepchildren with Margaret are Deborah Darr and predeceased by 3 stepdaughters; Cathy Hopson, Paula Walker and Tracie Womack.
Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren

Saint Paul Catholic Church 720 S. Floyd Road Richardson, Texas 75080
A rosary and viewing will be held at 10 am.
The Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am
Reception after Mass at the Parish Center
Internment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Dallas
