Dean Joseph Shea

He was born in Elgin, Illinois on July 11th 1956. Dean graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Illinois. Dean had a long and fruitful career in health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield. He had a passion for golf, fishing, watching his favorite sports teams, and traveling with his girlfriend Manila. He is survived by children Ryan and Caitlin Shea; siblings Christine, Michael, Tim, Brian, Lynn Dempsey, and Karen Schmidt; nephews Allan Hertzberger and Cody Shea; niece Lindsy LeCount; and great niece and nephew, Dakota and Jaxson LeCount.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at Sparkman Funeral Home.
