83, was born in Anna, TX and passed away in Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Iva Highsmith and son, Donald Dicus. Dora graduated from North Texas State University and taught English and History for over 30 years. She was a devoted Democrat. She is survived by her children; David Dicus, John Dicus (Jayne) and Susan Fortune (David) and Grandchildren; Sunny, Michelle, J.R., Kristen, Patrick, Michael, and Robert and also by her great-grandchildren; Savannah, and Trey. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 24th at 2:00pm followed by the funeral service at 3:00pm at Sparkman Funeral Home. Dora will be laid to rest in Big Springs Cemetery, Garland, TX.
