

Elbert Henry Tschoepe, 89, of Richardson, TX passed away on August 17, 2021. He was born in Converse, TX on July 5, 1932. Elbert graduated from Alice High School and received a BS in General Engineering at A& I University in Kingsville, TX. He married Joan Phillips in August 29, 1955 and they were happily married for 66 years. Elbert was a Civil Engineer and Professional Engineer for Corpus Christi-Texas Highway Department, the County of Dallas and the United States Government in the Air Force.
Elbert was a member of the Catholic Church, Military Engineers, Civil Engineering and Professional Engineering. His passions were fishing, yardwork, watching all sports, especially his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Elbert is survived by his wife, Joan; son, Kirby and wife, Janice and grandchildren, Katy Murrell (Eric) and Joseph Tschoepe (Lauren). His sisters, Mary Francis Seghers and Henrietta Stephenson and his brother, Claude Tschoepe, predeceased him.
Mr. Tschoepe’s visitation will be on September 1st from 5:00 – 9:00 pm at Sparkman Funeral Home, 10289 S. Greenville Avenue, Richardson, TX 75081. His Rosary will be at 6:00 pm on the same evening.
A Memorial Service will be on September 4th at 11:00 am at St. Raymond’s Catholic Church, 283 FM 1007, Brookeland, TX 75931. He will be buried at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75211 on a future date to be determined.
